Frequently Asked Questions
GeraVoice — book real-world services by voice
What is GeraVoice?
GeraVoice is a voice-native gateway to real-world services. You call a number, message a WhatsApp account, or send an SMS, and GeraVoice books the doctor, plumber, food delivery, ride, or money transfer for you — no app, no smartphone, no URL required. Designed for emerging markets, seniors, the visually impaired, and anyone who prefers talking to tapping.
Which channels and languages are supported?
Channels: inbound phone calls (low-end feature phones included), WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, Signal, and web voice chat. Languages at launch: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Swahili, Armenian, Georgian, Russian, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Tagalog, Amharic. More added based on demand.
How do I pay for things I book through GeraVoice?
GeraVoice supports mobile money (M-Pesa, MTN MoMo, Airtel Money), card-on-file for Gera accounts, cash-on-delivery where the underlying service allows it, and Idram (Armenia), UPI (India), PIX (Brazil), and iDEAL (Netherlands). You configure payment once in your Gera account and voice-confirm each transaction.
Is it safe to book over voice?
Yes. Every GeraVoice transaction is confirmed twice before execution — once verbally ("Confirm booking for Wednesday at 3pm, £40, say yes to confirm") and once via an SMS or WhatsApp receipt with a cancel link valid for the dispute window. Voice prints are used for passive authentication on accounts you have opted in.
Does it work on feature phones without internet?
Yes. SMS and inbound calls are the core channels, both of which work on any mobile phone globally. USSD integration is on the roadmap for countries where USSD is the dominant service interface.
